Here is a selection of recommended restaurants and bars in Grenoble downtown for dinner and drinks.

For lunch, a complementary list of restaurants located close to the CCI conference center will be provided.

For arrivals on Sunday evening, a complementary list of restaurants open on Sunday evening will be provided.

Location code : (A) : central downtown (within or less than 5 min from pedestrian area), (B) : less than 15 min from central downtown

Most restaurants are closed on Sundays and many on Mondays. Diner service usually starts at 7 pm till around 10 p.m., and most french people have diner around 8 pm. Restaurants are usually small, you may prefer to call for a reservation, especially for large groups.

A growing number of restaurants are smoking-free areas but some still feature smoking sections.

As Grenoble harbours a large italian community, you’ll find many italian restaurants downtown. In particular, many pizzerias are located on Isere’s northern bank, in the so-called "Italian quarter", across the bridges from central downtown. You can’t miss them... (and some of them are open on Sunday evening)
